You are cordially invited to participate in the 7th International Symposium on Digital Forensics and Security which will be held on June 10 - 12, 2019 in Barcelos-Portugal. 

ISDFS is an International conference originally initiated by the Department of Software Engineering of Technology Faculty at Firat University in May, 2013.In order to promote the symposium, a consortium containing Firat University (TR), Sam Houston State University (USA), Gazi University (TR), Youngstown State University (USA), San Diego State University (USA), Hacettepe University (TR), University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology (RO), Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave (PT), Arab Open University (JO), Balikesir University (TR), Singidunum University (XS), Baskent University (TR), HAVELSAN (TR) has been formed. The purpose of the symposium is to bring together experts from academia, industry and government in the field of cyberspace, security, and digital forensics for potential collaboration and information exchange for future safety. In the field of Digital Forensics, the two avenues known as technology and legislative provisions (rules and regulations) aimed to be explored concurrently. Without the legal aspects, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to provide an effective response towards cyber-attacks relying on the technology only. Historically, the order of events of the symposium had the following schedule: The first symposium in the chain was hosted by Firat University in Elazig Turkey on May 20-21, 2013; the second at Sam Houston State University in Houston, Texas, USA on May 12-13, 2014; the third at the Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey on May 11-12, 2015; the fourth at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA on April 25-27, 2016; the fifth at the Petru Maior University in Tirgu Mureş, Romania, on April 26-28, 2017 and the sixth was held by Firat University in Antalya, TURKEY on March 22-25, 2018. In 2019, the seventh ISDFS Symposium (ISDFS'2019) will be hosted by Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave in Barcelos, PORTUGAL. Starting with the symposium in Arkansas, the conference has been officially sponsored by the IEEE Society and scholarly works disseminated in the symposium have been cited by Xplore Scientific Index. The focus of this symposium is to shed light on the issues related with Digital Forensic, Digital Technologies, Cyber Security, and computer science.
